Use the EMech WorkBench tool to build or decode supported MIL-DTL-26482 Series 2 connector part numbers. The current builder covers active Series 2 environment-resisting crimp sheets and class N hermetic sheets represented in its data. It includes supported shell styles, insert arrangements, contact fields, and accessory information.
Open the MIL-DTL-26482 Series 2 builder, enter an existing part number to decode it, or select fields to assemble a candidate part number. Options depend on the chosen shell style and the site's available reference data.
Understanding the part-number fields
The Series 2 part-number structure includes an MS number, class, shell size, insert arrangement, contact style, and insert position; some classes use a dash separator in the format. Use the builder's field labels and decoder rather than relying on a remembered example, because the valid fields depend on the exact MS sheet and class.
After building or decoding, review the displayed part-number breakdown, contacts, candidate mating connectors, and accessory information where available. Exported part lists are a convenience for design work and supplier workflows; independently verify part numbers and quantities before release or purchase.
Current scope and exclusions
This builder covers the active Series 2 sheets represented in its dataset, including environment-resisting sheets MS3470, MS3471, MS3472, MS3474, MS3475, and MS3476, plus class N hermetic sheets MS3477 and MS3479. Its arrangement data is based on MIL-STD-1669A. The current tool does not build Series 1, inactive sheets, or the omitted class H solder hermetic sheets. A missing option should not be interpreted as proof that the specification disallows it.
The mating list is limited to the Series 2 scope; the tool does not list cross-series mating candidates. Check the exact sheet and interface requirements for the intended connection.
Verify before design release or purchase
The builder is a reference aid, not a compliance determination. Check the latest applicable MIL-DTL-26482 revision, the exact MS detail sheet, insert-arrangement source, contact specification, and manufacturer documentation. Confirm the connector's complete part number, configuration, and availability with the supplier. The site does not currently provide live price or lead-time data.
